Underscoring the significance of inculcating social values among students, Dr. Baby Sam Saamuel, Chairman, Board of Directors said, “YCIS gives students an opportunity to connect with society as active contributors and empathize with people of all strata. With the aim of promoting selfless volunteering as a habit, the Board has also constituted awards for the students who are committed to social cause with their active involvement in socially useful and productive activities.”

All Indian Schools across the Sultanate have launched YCIS on 15th August at the Independence Day celebration of India. The schools have also identified staff the student coordinators to take the activities forward.

YCIS activities are pertaining to community development, preservation of environment and outreach programmes.
