“Gift a book, help the needy save the environment” Scheme is yet another initiative that has been implemented. Aimed at developing social responsibility, this activity by Indian School students intends to promote efficient and optimal use of existing resources the scheme endorses the ideal of reuse, reduce and retain while teaching children to value their textbook and minimize wastage.

At the beginning of each academic year, the schools shall issue a circular to parents explaining the objectives and arrangements of “Gift a Book: Help the Needy and Save the Environment” scheme. The students joining the scheme commit to preserving their textbook so that the next batch of students reuses the textbooks. The scheme shall not only benefit the environment but also reduce the expenses and help the needy.
