Underscoring its positive role in serving local communities, the Indian Schools in Oman will be organising blood donation camps on their premises starting from 15th August. It has been decided to conduct the camps in all the twenty Indian Schools between 15th August and 18th November, the dates signifying the nationally important days of India and Oman respectively.

The campaign shall kick off at Indian Schools Muladha, Nizwa, Khasab, Saham and Salalah who will be holding their blood donation camp on the 15th of August, the 72nd Independence Day of India.

According to the Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman, humanitarian service is yet another dimension of holistic education, which is the hallmark of Indian Schooling system. In this regard, the Board of Directors of the Indian Schools in Oman has been initiating a number of initiatives which caters to the all-round development of students in Indian Schools.

“The Indian Schools in Oman are coming together as a community to raise blood donations and also much needed awareness about the need for the same. The blood donation campaign is an extension of our moral and social commitment and reflects the values we teach at our schools. We therefore request wholesome participation from the faculty, parents and community members,” said Dr. Baby Sam Saamuel, Chairman, Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman.

As a community project, a large number of staff, parents and public are expected to participate in the camps and thus support the noble mission.
