ISD ORGANISES PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

Indian School Darsait (ISD) is organising the Nikon Inter-school Photography Competition and Exhibition on October 4 at its premises.

This year the event is conducted under the aegis of Board of Directors, Indian schools in Oman and supported by Khimji Ramdas & Lifestyle, the distributor of Nikon in Oman.

Anil Khimji, director, Khimji Ramdas, has been supporting the event from the beginning and will offer Nikon cameras as first three prizes and ten consolation prizes this year.

It is an open event in which students from Class IV to XII of Indian schools across Oman can take part.
So far an overwhelming response has been received from the participating schools with more than 460 entries. More entries are expected in the ensuing days.

A panel of judges will evaluate and shortlist 250 photographs to be displayed on the same day.
Besides, the same panel will also select top 40 student photographers for the final round of the competition and these budding photographers will be given an opportunity to click photographs at different locations in and around Muscat on the day of the competition.

After getting shortlisted, the photographs will be evaluated by the expert panel of judges and top photographs will be awarded prizes.

Moreover, other winners will be given A Grade certificates.

A photography workshop for the members of photography clubs of all the Indian schools in Oman will be organised on the same day, the organisers of the event said.
