Indian school – Darsait

Indian School Darsait (ISD) was founded in 1992 with 127 students as a sister concern of Indian School Muscat, blossomed as an independent entity in 1994 and moved to its present location on 6 July 1998 with advanced facilities. The school has two blocks – one for Primary and the other for Secondary and Senior Secondary Classes with Commerce and Science Stream. The present student strength is 3820, 127 Teaching Staff, 22 National/Omani Staff & 10 Non-teaching Staff. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. ISD is the first CBSE School, outside India, to be accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET) – Quality Council of India.The accreditation has helped the school in conceptualizing national curricular objectives, strengthening school governance, enhancing teaching – learning process and making evaluation methods more effective. The school has been recognized as the SAT Test Centre since 2016. Indian School Darsait is the first CBSE School in Oman to have acquired accreditation from National Institute of Schooling (NIOS); since May 2017 NIOS functions with the student strength of 20 in Class X Secondary and 48 in Class XII Senior Secondary.
